When was it founded?
The Peculiarity about Freedom from Hunger Campaign (FFHC) is that it was established by Government in 1969 as an NGO. This was with the conviction to build an institution outside the government bureaucracy through which support to the neediest parts of the population could be channeled.

Freedom From Hunger Campaign is a farmer membership based organisation operating in the Lower and Central River Region of the Gambia in the food security sector, with a vision to create A productive sustained agriculture, with farmers and rural Communities, having access to productive inputs, leading to their improved food security, income and welfare. FFHC is affliated with 148 affiliated women farmer groups in LRR and CRR FFHC
